S.U.M.M.E.R
S= Sucking Thumbs
Montey has become quite the thumb sucker. We have never had a thumb sucker before and it is kind of cute. We are still pushing the binky on him though, hoping that by some chance we can break the thumb sucking habit. He had his 1st tooth already pop through, which is the earliest yet with all our kids. Feedings will soon be a pain I am sure, but hopefully he won't get anymore until later

U= Unusually Visitors
So we have been finding gardner snakes for the first time in our front yard this year. I am not a big fan of snakes yet the kids were more brave them me and actually were picking them up and playing with them. I wanted to just scream and run away, however I am trying not to push my fears on them so I just bit my tongue and let them have fun.

M= Montey 3 Months
This was our Home Photoshoot for Montey, even though he will be 4months at the end of this month. He was a pretty good sport. He is too cute...we sure love him.

M= Missing Teeth & Manicures
Liahona lost her 1st tooth. We were all so excited. She was even brave enough to pull it out all by herself too! So I went and had my first pedicure and manicure done this month and they turned out ok but I did not find it all that wonderful. I could have saved money and just did it all myself. I did a home manicure for my girls, Here is the manicure that I did for Liahona. Her's turned out better because she sat more still than Tamara.
E= Eel Lessons
I finally decided that it was time to put the kids in swim lessons, so both them and I could be more comfortable around water. Seeing that I am hydrophobic and all..... I wouldn't let Tamara take lessons yet. I told her that she has to wait until she is five before she can take any type of swim lessons. So she got to help me take care of Montey while we waited and watched Caleb and Liahona for 8 days, Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks swim away. She was a pretty good sport. They made an amazing transformation within these 8 days, starting at not even being able to put their faces into the water, too jumping into the water all by themselves and swimming back to the edge of the pool.....they blew me away!!!

R= Rolling and Reeling
There was free bowling for kids 5-12 at our local bowling alley throughout the summer. We went a couple of times. Caleb liked it more than Liahona, and Tamara was just bored because she didn't make the cut seeing that she is only 4 yrs old. But it was fun for us all to go out and do something different every once in awhile.We also went fishing at a local pond this summer. The kids were catching the fish so fast that we could hardly keep up with getting them soon enough. We had a good time fishing with some friends from Eric's school.

Busy Spring: Our Top 10 Reasons
1: Birth of Montey Jaycob
He has changed so much during these past 7 weeks. His new found love is his exersaucer. He loves bouncing and turning around in it and he especially likes looking around. His head and neck muscle are awfully strong. He can sit in this toy up to 20minutes, which is nice for me to have some time to workout or take a shower or something fun for just myself. Getting this kid to lean over to burp is near to impossible, he tightens in back muscles so strong, and he pushes with his legs to stand up. I can see that this kid is already showing his strong willed side....we are in for some really fun times ahead I am sure...he is just so cute anyhow. His older brother can't help but give him kisses every time he walks by him. Sometimes Monety will be crying and Caleb will just be giving him kisses and I would have to tell him "Would you please stop kissing him and just give him his binky please...."

2: Celebrating Birthday Number 1, Tamara's Day
Of course where do all little kids want to go?? McDonald's...why as kids do we find that greasy, smelly, busy place so much fun?? So we had an evening out at McD's to celebrate Tamara's birthday, and went home for cake and ice cream. Last year when she blew out her candles her hair caught on fire (I somehow mange to tape the whole thing without noticing, even when Eric was putting it out.) This year we manged to by pass the hair on fire, yet her face almost got burnt with her leaning into the candles to blow them out.... good grief! It's a Good thing Eric knows the Burn Unit well at our local hospital.

3: Celebrating Birthday Number 2, Liahona's Day
So for her birthday she wanted to go to the zoo. We drove an hour to Omaha to use our family zoo pass for this special outing. Okay, you have not been to a REAL zoo until you have been to the one here in Omaha...all I can say is WOW!

4: Celebrating Birthday Number 3, Caleb's Day
(On a side note to you all, spring babies are nice and all, but not 3, now 4 birthday's all in a row...it gets pretty crazy and busy, and drains that bank.)
Caleb being just under 12months apart from his little sister Liahona, means that they get to be the same age for about 2weeks. This is something that Caleb doesn't exactly like. He is happy when he finally is older than his sister again. When Grandparents were in town we went to an awesome place that kicks Chuckie Cheese by a long shot. It's called The Amazing Pizza Machine, which I personally like to call it Pizza Planet...holy-cow it is a kids paradise that's for sure...really really fun.

5: Spring Soccer was a Hit
Caleb loved every minute of running around the soccer field. After of couple of games he picked up on the main idea to run towards the ball, not just next to other people with the ball. HE earned his 1st Trophy...he was way excited and it sits on his bed, obviously he is very proud of himself, as are we.

6: Feeding and Feeding Our Very Hungry Pets
Our Newly Adopted Ducks "Guac and Molly " have decided to make our frog pond in the backyard their home sweet home. They like waddling up to our grass in the backyard to get their breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kids LOVE to feed their pets, we go through so much bread these days..... They are going to be too fat to fly away soon.

7: Blessing a Sweet Baby Boy
Montey was blessed at 6 weeks old in our church ward here in Nebraska. Nice to have instant family where ever we go, that has been a real blessing for us...especially living here being the farthest away from family yet.
8: Visiting with Out of Town Guests
My parents flew in to share a special "Fatter's Day" with us, oh I mean "Father's Day." Montey was blessed on Father's Day Sunday at church. We haven't seen my parents in over a year. We had a good visit with them, even though it was a short one.

9: Fighting Off Ticks
It is the bug season here, and these guys are the worst. We went for a family walk in our back yard, which is actually a Nursery, and we litterally had 20 ticks climbing on us. Got home from our walk and we all showered, scrubbed, and bathed those bugs away... however in the morning, Tamara still had two on her; one in her ear, and in her hair on the back of her head. Lyme Diease could be a posible facture for us, yet it can take up to a year to show any signs of this illness!!!EEK!

10: Hiding from Frightening Tornados
Our neighborhood Tornado sirens have gone off quit a bit this spring. There were these really Dark Tornado Warnings clouds with green spots here and there, above our home this one evening, and they were rotating in a circuliar motion...really weird and scarey. Aren't tornados only in places like OZ?? Guess we live in OZ.

Montey's Now 1 Month Old

Cute face making..............

Montey's proud of his "Got Milk"Shirt.........
Beautiful Big Eyes...........
Montey and his famous "Smirk Smile"..........
Napping Away.............
Here is our little guy, now 1 Month old.....can you believe it? It just felt like yesterday when I was complaining about being huge and uncomfortable. I may not be "AS" huge but I still have lots to loose before I am somewhat back to my pre-pregnancy weight again. I gained a total of 40pounds( very proud of that may I say) and I have lost 20 of it so far. Making the grand total of just having 20 pounds left to loose. So I have jumped into gear starting this month with a working out routine and goal in mind to be back down by the Fall. =) Wish me luck. If anyone else has felt that they need, or would like to loose a few pounds here and there, join me, and we can start our little support group to help motivate each other when we are starting to veer from our routine. I am hopefully going to start back up with a local belly dancing class this month, to not only help me loose that extra weight gained, but to get back into my love for belly dancing...I have really been itching for it, and I have REALLY missed it, too!

Itching for Organization
So okay I've got the nesting bug again or something.... but I am not prego anymore. I have been totally organizing and rearranging almost every room in our home now. And I couldn't stop there of course, I had to rearrange our family blog page too. I don't know what this all means, but hopefully I will be able to relax and slow down and just enjoy my nice fixed up home. Has anyone else felt this way after they had a baby? Or and I just weird?!??! =)

Very Mature Baby Boy
Boys Bedtime Routine...........................................................................................
Montey showing off his strong muscles............................................................

Since the day we brought home Montey he has shown so much maturity for a baby, he has NEVER seemed like a newborn. He never had his nights and days mixed up like most newborn babies. Since the day he was born when you called him by his name he would look at you. And when it comes to burping, well....he burps automatically, which is REALLY odd. Throughout the day he is very alert, and cat naps here and there, but for the most part stays awake, and is content with listening and watching his siblings. Everyday it is the same, he sleeps from 1-4 straight, for his nap time already, pretty much like a toddler. The only problem from the beginning was at 4 days old at his 1st Doctor appointment, we found out he was tongue-tied, just like his older brother Caleb. Even with being tongue-tied eating has been no problem for him. From birth to 4 days old he was past his birth weight, at 8lbs- 13 oz.
And at his 2 week old mark, last Wednesday, he had his 2ND doctor's appointment. And this is when they would like to see the newborn babies at back up at their birth weight, and well....Montey was almost 1lb bigger, weighing 9lbs-10oz. Eating and gaining weight has not been a problem for him since the beginning. He is in the 75% percentile for height and weight. We started having Montey do "tummy time" and discovered after the second time on his tummy, that he can roll over from his tummy to his back, almost instantly....which is odd as well. We thought it was a fluke...but sure enough every time we placed him on his tummy he was soon on his back again. Tummy time is pointless for Montey. He has strong muscles and holds his head and body up really well since he was born as well. He is not near as flimsy as I remember our others being at this age.
He is growing up so fast. As of yesterday Montey hit his 3week old mark. He has figured out that when he wants attention all he has to do is fuss (just a little), and almost instantly one of his siblings will be there. Because as soon as someone sits next to him he calms down, and goes back to being all content again. The funniest thing is that he already has made a bedtime routine for himself. He goes to bed at 8pm just like the other kids. He and Caleb will be sharing a room, once Montey gets older. But for now we place Montey in his boppy wrapped up in a blanket on the floor and Caleb plays quietly next to him, and sure enough both are soon fast asleep next to each other.
Montey has the cutest head full of light brown curly hair, which we think comes from his Grandpa Brooks. Even though Montey pretty much skipped the "newborn" phase, we are a glad that he is apart of our family. I think we prefer this Mature Baby phase over the Newborn Phase anyhow. We are glad to finally have a baby that came into this world knowing what to do. It has been really weird, but also really NICE!!!
