Memorial Day Tribute

~Memorial Day:~

It is so hard to look back in days that are past,

Thinking that if only it would have last.

Never stopping to think if things would never change,

And now life is ever so different and strange.

Without you here I am just in a daze,

And wonder if I can ever change the ways.

What would I give to just have a moment with you,

Oh the things I would say and the things I would do.

To show you my love and that I am still true,

Because without you it is hard to not feel blue.

I know you would want me to smile and say,

Keep moving forward it is going to be okay.

And how you would whisper that you are still near by,

Even when I feel the urge and begin to cry.

I stop at this time and I think of you,

Thank you for all that you have done and all that you do.

To have you in my life I am blessed beyond measure,

You are my rock, my love, my treasure.

Inspirations: Hearts Are Made Whole

~~Somewhere over the Rainbow, hearts are made whole.~~

There is a place beyond the field,
That lights up the path when we yield.

Being called to walk a road less traveled,
Throughout the way you will see blessings unraveled.

Just yonder there is a place in view,
It is just beyond the skies of blue.

There our broken hearts are taken away,
And a new heart is given to stay.

The Good Has Come At Last

"Planting to Weeding, Tending to Caring,

This is a path that takes much awaiting...

Sometimes it's hard to notice any thing different,

 Given some time and it will be magnificent.

To see the growth with your own eyes,

Is the Gift worth waiting for, for it is the prize.

There is no other way to make it as sweet,

For this is a task and only ours to complete.

To reap the reward after all that was said and done,

We can't thank God enough or for his glorious son.

To be given this chance we count our lucky star,

For our wounds left only but a little scar.

No more toiling with so many fears,

Only full of gladness with ever more cheers.

 Looking back at the past,

So thankful the good has come at last."

Easter the Season of Hope

 

~~Easter Time~~

This is the week of such special times,

This is the week we hear special chimes.

What a joy our hearts exclaim,

That our Savior has made his claim.

On You and On Me,

Where we can all forever Be.

Who could deny this amazing glow,

For our Lord just continues to show.

His Love for Us,

Without even a fuss.

Thank you Lord Jesus for coming to save,

In living and dying in true life you gave.

To know that you have given us Hope,

It only makes sense that in you we cope.

~This is a place that is hard to revisit,

An event that we would take back in a minute.

The name of this place is Caleb's Corner,

A spot in Nebraska that will always be in his honor.

What it looked like when Caleb ascended up above,

To the heavens that is filled with much love.

Perhaps this too may be what will take place,

When the Savior returns in full glory and grace.

What a joy it will be for everyone insight,

To be wrapped around this tremendous sunlight.

Near our Savior and the ones we love,

Will bring down all the reverence from above.~

Christmas with the Mathison's

What would we do, what would we say?

If Christ was born this very day?

Would we be embarrassed by the things we have done?

Or would we be distracted with things so-called fun?

Would we promptly run and share with delight,

Of his coming this very night?

He came to us though we may not believe,

 But truly it is he bringing peace who grieve.

To give of the heart, to give of the soul,

Being like him, makes one whole. 

Christmas Time is filled with delight,

In everything that is within our sight.

So Let us run from home to home,

Sharing this Love wherever we roam.

Letters of Gratitude for an Apostle of the Lord

• This is the time for us to be full of Thanksgiving! And we are full of THANKS for having one of the 12 Apostles come last month to speak to us. So we have written and sent Elder Ballard letters, in sharing our thoughts and feelings of gratitude for him. How Thankful we are for a Prophet of God and 12 living Apostles on earth today!
